5x5, 8mines
IMHO this is one of the most evel boards I've ever seen!
I like the path best with 3 mines down and 5 up - my best try was 0.37.  But unfortuneately the brute force probability is a litte beyond 1:1000000.  I'm afraid that board wont come along.
Additonally this week uni starts in Austria and I'm really really busy so I can only play a little. I'm very disappointed, I might have done really well on that bord Sad

Unfortunately Shocked Shocked Shocked? I´d say fortunately, because you have to show real skills (accuracy and fast reaction) to achieve good time (great mine distribution is necessary of course).

Of course you're right from this point of view. But I'm a good bruteforcer. So at 1:120000 I could go it and would have a very very good chance to finish way better than in 5th place.
So for me it's unfortuneately because the small board - and I have best chances on small boards - is not of my favorit kind of small boards.

I understand you really want to win a tournament, but believe me, your hand is fast enough even for winning in "normal" way. At least your hand is faster than my I have only bit faster reaction  Wink

Of course I want to win a tourny, but at the moment I think more about the points to ensure to stay in 1.Div

Argh, there really needs to be a button for ending the game instead of clicking the blue smiley... I had an easy game and I went to click the smiley but I missed it and ended up getting a 2,09 instead of a sub 2...

Welcome to the club  Grin I have the same problem, but I´d take it as a feature forcing you to show your mouse skills  Wink

Yeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And it wasn't even the board I was hoping for!

Well, one could beat it easyly bruteforceing - I guess a 0.40 is realistic. But is there enough time left to play for one in more than a million boards?

Woooooooohhhhhooooo!
And right after this 0.79 I lost a 0.76 on only one missflag.

To this simley thing: I like, that you need to click the smiley. But perhaps that's because I'm to lazy to coordinate for a third button  Grin

After I improved my best time on this board compared to last time (S6 T6 - see below), I hoped for Top3. By now, it's likely to finish in #5. Terrible.

Good job, Christoph!

Division 1
1 hexx 1.32 sec 2005-11-26 8 pts
2 Stephan Bechtel 1.39 sec 2005-11-23 6 pts

4 Gero Waelz 1.43 sec 2005-11-26 4 pts
5 Luca Vezzoni 1.46 sec 2005-11-26 3 pts
6 Nikolaj 1.55 sec 2005-11-20 2 pts

@Christoph:
Hey, well done Wink

@Maruda:
You are right, tomorrow I will try to play the way Christoph did, but I don't promise nothing, I'm happy with my 1.01s achieved by the "normal way" Grin

So it's going from my dream- to my nightmare-board. I hope I'll score on it at all.
However, it feels fantastic to have won a tourny and to have already more points than have ever been neccessarry to stay in 1. Div.

I like T5 board, 20x20 20 mines, it's very hard but you can eventually get very easy board
